I have considered a more modern donor like a Mx-5, but I really look for something with 6 cylinder and under 2.0 liters, even if it isn't particularly fast. 6 cyl engines have a fantastic soundtrack. There is of course the BMW Z3 2.0 but that’s still kind of expensive in insurance (I’m 23), and i don't know if the A352 will look as good based on a Z3. A classic GT6 fits the bill.

Okay. I agree that months sound more realistic than weeks.

On the subject of the hard top, i recon the low drag e type needs copying.

Leave the 352 front and as is, but add the 'E roof.

a-la





If it were me i'd bring the side panels up a bit to match the profile of the front and back, but its pretty close as is already!

triumph tr7 have got nice angled side windows. maybe could adapt them to fit and then have a roof made up by chris. just ideas
