Smile Morning Nick

Thanks nick,

I am not sure re colour as it depends on, A the bloke that wants to buy it coming up with a deposit this week (he wants it brown) theres no way im painting it brown until i see a deposit. B, If i go down the hire route then i would have a old english white one (for weddings etc) and a ferrari red one. C,if i personally like the 50/60s race car look & have been google image searching vintage ferrari race cars and am spoilt for choice. There is a silver one with a yellow/mustard off center stripe & a few tastefull race graphics that looks very classy! I am also a fan of Gulf colours........Ha

Cheers

Billy

I am picking up 10 this week but not sure what day yet. If I can get one sent up to you I will. If you don't have any luck just screw a sheet of perspex over the hole and I will bring one to Newark.
Thats great just bring one up if you can,

Just ordered the back lights and number plates so they should be here in a day or two.

Time to blast out some power ballards and get building!

Have a good day all

Billy

Phew, that's a relief. A Scot wi' a sense 'o' humour. Mind, I did like to keep up with the shenanigans of 'The Broons' in The Daily Record during my tour of Lossiemouth thirty years ago...

Good work Billy . How far did you drive it today?

Begging for the bigger wheels now, isn't it. Any luck choosing them yet?

Picking up back windows tomorrow night.

Cheers Chris, Already making plans for the mk2!! I am thinking banded steels with race style tyres. The wires i really want are too expensive! However i am going to bid on some ferreri mondal wheels that are on ebay alittle nearer the auction ending.

Think im going to paint it in two pack, Ferrari or old english white as i am going to have a go at hiring them out for weddings and weekends away etc so white will work for the wedding side of things. The next one i do i want to do like a classic le man racer though.

Chris, When you get two min (not likely this week ha) could you check these out, ebay 251083155801. Would the offset of the rears push into the springs? also with 25mm spacers would they fill the arch? i dont want huge bling wheels as i like the look of smaller slightly tucked wheels. i offered my pals 17" bbs up but it made it look like a yank over a italian! Cheers

Default Wheels

Hi Billy

Had a look at the wheels, mmmmm nice look, love that ally powder coating, just need some DUNLOP stickers on the edge of the rim and those spinners from your shed.

The wheels on our red car are:

Front 16 x 7.5" with et 20
Rear 16 x 9" with et 15 (+25mm spacers)

If you go the the following website:

http://www.gtsparkplugs.com/WheelOffsetCalc.html

and put those measurements into the "Wheel Size Offset Calculator" at the bottom of the page, as "Current Wheel" then stick the other wheel details in below it will tell you the changes in gap to the spring and arch. It's a really useful guide when looking for new wheels.

Another useful site is:

http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/vis...ize-calculator

when sorting out tyre widths and profiles.
