Now why didn't Chris do that with the Spitfire and the A352??
I'd be waiting at Stoneleigh now!

Have been busy the past few weeks so havnt posted for a while but i had bought myself a z3 which i bought from my uncle. ive been driving it about for the past few weeks and have now put it on ebay...
http://bit.ly/Qzv2i3
Reason being i didnt realise how slow the 1.9 is!
I was toying with the idea of buying a bumped m3 and geting the big boy engine dumped in (this was after i seen the price tags on the z3ms!) but would still be too costly!
The Z3s on ebay with no reserve and runs perfect as it should (my uncles owned it for the past few years and only managed to drive it 1000 miles a year on average.

That looks pretty clean, and would make a great Cobra!

Good luck with the sale.

Default Airbag

Hi,

Just a thought,

Are the airbags still functional?

No worries either way, as if they are not, I will look at a more period steeing wheel.

Regards,

Lumpy.

Richard's wheel choice will really finish the car of well for it's appearance at Stoneleigh/

Default KOBRA PROJECT - BMW Z3 based body conversion kit

Hi Chris,
I already was impressed by your Z300S transformation. Now I discovered your Cobra conversion and my sons are very fan of it. It looks that this takes less work to put on the BMW (lights, ...).
So, could you make me an offer for this kit, transport to Belgium included. What lights (E certified) do you suggest?
Go on with the fantastic job, well done , best regards,
Walter

Chris do you have any piccys or ideas on the finishing of the fuel filler mate? Looks like quite a curve to fit to mate.

Check my thread for an example of what you might do. Big filler over the top of the standard locking filler

Cheers but Id like something flush if possible. Would the chrome flip cover of a Mk 2.5 MX5 fit the curve?

Default concept

I really like the GTSR. We have the original Z3 front bumper/spoiler that Geoff has kindly donated from his SWB project, that has a good lower lip as a starting point. We also have moulds for an E Type Jag bumper that are similar to the splitters in the front air intakes. The rear spoiler looks very much like an MX5 one, have a couple of those. And this looks good for the diffuser:

Game on!
Totally with you on the concept, bit like the new GT40, Mini, Beetle stuff. Retro modern. Cant wait to see one in the flesh and see about placing an order
