Thumbs up Great tip for dissmantlers

Here's a great tip if you are dissmantling a BMW for a Sportster build.

Save all your hose clips.
The original BMW fitted clips are Stainless Steel and with a bit of Brake Cleaner they come up just like new!

The ones off my 1989 donor are now 17 years old and I tell you they are like new and better quality than many of the ones on the market today.
Each one is stamped with the BMW logo!

best regards

Peter

That is indeed a good tip if they are in a condition where you can reuse them It costs a fortune replacing them with new stainless steel ones. Apprently new ones from BMW are much cheaper than the ones you can buy at most parts places. I found this out after buying news ones from the parts places.
