I see Aston Martin have responded to the interest that you have created by putting the DB4 GTS Zagato back into production.

Well, the Sanction II ones fetch over £1.5m a pop, so they can afford to dilute the after market a little. Of course, mine is NOT a DB4 Zagato, or any other kind of AM if it comes to that, but they sure as hell are lovely looking cars.

There is a lovely one in the back page of Classic & Sports Car magazine this month. Very nice ! I can see this concept working really well in convertible form too, like the 250 SWB.

There are many beautiful cars from the 1960s, but for me, the Zagatos of all marques have something special. That is probably personal taste. However, the AM DB4 Zagato has been voted the most beautiful car more than once. It's influence on the highly protected DB5 is clear. Luckily, the Zagato influence spans many marques, and in the 1960s, many of the design features between Zagato and Pininfarina are very similar. So far as i know, the Old No 7 275 has never made it to a convertible, and it remains to be seen if Chris will take the Z3gato there. But you are right, it would work well as a soft top.

Is it really 20 days, almost three weeks since we heard anything about this fantastic project?
It feels longer to me (I check pretty much every day, just in case my subscribe function doesn’t work...)

Slow and steady, the other side is getting there. I did not post photos as they are pretty much a mirror of the ones already posted. I'll put some up next time I visit.

If you are looking at Barchetta door handles, this is what they look like fitted.

Fantastic read. Can't wait for the next update. Sincerely, well done.

I may have missed it, but is this a one off, or will Chris be taking a mould and selling these?

Chris will be taking moulds, he has not yet decided whether to offer panel kits or turnkey builds so far as I know. Updates due soon.

I know your car isn’t like an Aston, but does share some styling cues from cars of that era.
I was stuck on a long haul flight to Asia and found a black and white picture of an Aston and couldn’t help but play with it on my iPad during the flight.
Cars of this era and style sure look cool.
Can’t wait to see how yours turns out!

Munky, thanks for these, interesting to see the cars in different colours. The Sage green is almost universal, but seeing the blue and gold is really interesting. The blue is quite similar to JagTVR's California 250 and more recently Geoff's new 250 coupe. It goes really well. Evanta had a demo car in silver, which looks cool also.

I hope to have an update soon.

Dark colours would work too such as midnight blue and the very dark racing greens used by Jaguar back in the day.

It might be because of the light exposure on some of the images I’ve been playing with, but once you get past a certain darkness in colour, the lines of the car seem to quickly disappear.

This is the third image I’ve tried with dark green and probably the best as far as not washing out all of the cars lines.

I could see this working

Thanks, that looks very nice. I will likely get the gelcoat in theRAL colour nearest to that so that it looks good until I get it painted.
