From the first time I switched my Hi pressure fuel pump on it has been noisey. Last week I got around to sending it back to Sytec for testing.
They have returned it stating it is working well, even under raised temperature - apparently they are prone to drop pressure when warm, and that the noise level is "normal". They claim not to be able to hear it 7-8 feet away.
I suspect their hearing aid battery needs testing!
Does anyone else have the Sytec Hi pressure pump - and if so, can you hear it above the engine at tick over - I can mine!

They also suggested that the fuel filter spring clips I used to attach it to the chassis were not appropriate - they pinch the rubber coat too much (the indent is still apparent in the foam as seen above) - and would be better if I used one of their proper brackets. As you do, I bought one over the phone, and then realised just how much I had agreed to pay for it with VAT + postage!
A fool and his money...........
I am also, going to fit a 12mm union out of my tank to see if increasing the potential flow rate from the tank helps (I only had a 10mm O/D union with quite a small I/D).
