Some of the things ive been doing over the last few weeks include covering the dash in cream leather and fitting a very loud straight through exhaust. Ive really been enjoying driving it. It attracts a lot of attention. Cant wait for the next meet which hopefully i will be able to make this time[IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]

How difficult was the interior? Did you just stretch the leather over what was already there or did you add a foam layer? What did you use to fix the leather? Any tips on avoiding wrinkles in the corner?

Yes, I will be retrimming my BMW/Maserati when I get the body finished

To be honest its been a nightmare. I stretched the material over the existing dash and glued it in place with contact adhesive. Its been a bit of a job. On the edges ive warmed the material with a hair dryer to make it more pliable. Im sure it will be worth it in the end

Hello everyone. Seems like ages since I've been on here. I've been enjoying driving the car for the latter part of the summer. Hoping to drive it to the NEC next month for the classic car show. I've been busy repairing what the knucklehead in my garage did. When I took the car for mot he managed to squeeze the front end over the sliding jack on the ramp. Hence reversing off led to a horrendous cracking and ripping noise, my two headlight covers snapping and flying off and a lovely crack right down the front end along the bottom of the bonnet. Be warned at mot time, these cars are quite low to the ground. (Especially when you've lowered it

It seems ok. I used the stick on D seal from CBS. I will try and take some pictures for you.

Where did you get your exhaust from dave? I think im going to make mine myself (straight through pipes) but I'l need some professional twin tips for the end, i like the look of them

ive seen these... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3604895748...84.m1423.l2649

but thy look too thin and shite to be honest!

I got mine from eBay but it was a complete kit that I had to cut to length myself. I will try and find it and post a link. It was straight through but it was way too loud. So I got myself a small muffler and put it just after the cat. Still sounds lovely, burbles and pops.

I think I paid the price on the listing. It took some jiggling to fit but looks good. When I say its loud i mean painfully ear bleedingly loud to the point I couldn't take it above 3000 rpm. With a small muffler in line it's still loud but much better. It's suprising the sound you can get out of a 1.6 engine

I know the feeling, my last kit car was a Ferrari 360 replica and that was just the 1.8vvti engine, with a straight through, no back box, no muffler and not even a cat in sight!....
