Colours a very personal thing I've had a yellow motorbike for years and the amount of negative comments I hear about are quite funny...would be nice if was red/black etc.....but then t would be like everyone else's I tell them!

Colour is such an emotive thing! I would not have chosen that colour but it's what YOU want and like NOT what everyone else wants.

Same here - doesn't do it for me but that said, the guy who painted my car said he doesn't like it in black, which I chose!

Bob – Your car looks great.
I look forward to seeing it all put back together.
Also there was a request for an update on your Rods ‘n’ Sods thread, so I posted a couple of photos.
Good luck, Paul.

Back in the late ‘90s I’d turn up at track days with my avatar bike and was generally:
- The only yellow bike
- The only British bike
- The only 3 cylinder bike

I didn't have my camera when I went to the paint shop today but I'm happy to report that the doors are on with skins, window frames and handles. Also the boot.
I'll next go up on Thursday when a mate of mine puts the rear window in and I'll start fitting up. I spent some time today cleaning more bits up ready. including finishing making up the grille badge from a bought Italia badge and the spare MX5 fresh air vent.
The covers for the side vents are painted and the trims with them may or may not get put along the sills.
The 250S badge I bought before I even ordered the car as I liked it on Chris's demo prototype.
More updates at the end of the week.

Must admit I was thinking about a chrome strip on the sills - be really interested to see how it looks if you go with it. Not sure I could do it now as I've got jack hole covers on my sills and it may be a bit too much but I still quite like the idea to give the side an extra lift.

Had the call today that I could start fitting the car up, so I've made a start. I'll be back on Thursday to carry on.
I'm very pleased with the results, the finish and the colour.
We offered the sill trim up and opinion was that it will work well. I've been donated some suitable fixing clips as well. It's a job for a time when I can take all day just doing one side as I know if I rush it will go on wonky or the clips won't line up.

Looks really good, a major turning point, once fitted up you can go back to enjoying it.

Love the colour, it looks period correct for the late 60's.
Your badge choice is also spot on, no Ferrari stickers all over it just subtle clues to keep the onlooker guessing.
Will you be at Stoneleigh?

I agree on the badges, I know it is a personal thing. but putting Ferrari badges on something that is clearly not just seems odd to me.

Paint looks excellent - reflections look true - I'm even coming round to colour now it's fitting up, it does look retro. Could you be persuaded to put wires on?
Look forward to seeing at Stoneleigh plus having a gander at the mx5 vents. Are you changing out seats?
Also agree RE F badges - no badges going on mine at all.

Talking of badges..... what became of the Tribute boot badge in the style of Ferrari? I thought that looked just right.
So much better than Fakeari!
