Is it worth all the hassle of getting the log book changed just to get Tribute mx250 printed in it?
Anyone who buys the car is going to know what it is. From 1st October there are going to be no tax discs displayed and that would be the only advantage I can see would be not to have mx5 printed on the tax disc.

Some people on here suggested the police would stop you all the time if the log book was not amended.

My friend is a traffic officer and he said if something looking like an MX250 drove past and it came back as a MX5 he would tug it. Also I think its part of the process. You take an ordinary car and turn it into something extraordinary and it should have a log book to show that. And it will help when you want to sell your car if you register it correctly. People like bits of paper.

It happened to a friend of mine, he had a Lotus 7 type thing, not correctly registered

drove past a police car, they typed his reg in to the PNC and it comes back "Ford Cortina MK4 saloon"

Its a no brainer really," right lets do him" Anyone would act the same, how could you ignore that?

I am a big fan of the aged patina look, mostly because I am aged myself! Silver really suits the shape. Will you be making the trip upto Stoneleigh in May Roger?

Shame. I guess I will have to come down to Penzance in the summer to see you and the car.
