Hi Drummajor, just how did you fit them? I have the land rover extensions as recommended but can't figure out how you modify them to fit on the standard wiper screw tread.

You will need to extend the existing thread so the landy bit is about level with the body.

The thread can be extended by welding a bit more thread on or by using a coupling nut together with some more thread.

I welded a spacer between the bolt and the land rover part. Then painted it black. Job done.

The land rover part I have has only a small hole in it for fitting, do you drill this out to get it accommodate the original wiper arm thread?

No drilling required. Just weld a spacer on the bottom of it and then a nut on the base to fit onto the Mazda wiper box.

An update for this thread, I used an M10 rivnut off ebay it slides over the standard MX5 wiper arm screw thread. I araldited it to the thread. It has splines on so the TEX wiper arm just screws straight onto it,no welding required and it has a more postive contact with the windscreen. I'll update this post when I've used the wipers a bit to let you know how there doing as the car will be my daily driver

Default Which wiperarms and wipers?

Hi Guys,

I want to leaf my MX-5 as it is, but have always chromed original wiperarms with old Bosch wipers in stainless steel.
But would like to update the arms with stainless steel.

So which exaktly arms an wipers will fit with using a M10 adapter?

Thanks a lot
Thomas
