Default Racing Style Googles

Been looking around for a pair of leather googles and most that i have come across have a split poly lens. Can anybody tell me if the split lens in the is off putting or do you not really notice it once wearing the googles.

Going back to the days of motor biking, I never noticed the split in my Mark 8 goggles, these were the only type of goggles you could get once upon a time and they were glass! There are loads on eBay. I still use my mk 8s today.
The sides stay clear even when raining.
If you wear glasses for reading or whatever do you notice the bridge or the frames at all after awhile.
