Default Z3 drop (coilovers Y/N)

Hi all,

Instead of filling up another thread I will start a new one !

What have people done about the stance of their Zeds when converting them to either 250SWB or Kobra kits?

I want to sort my 2.2 (non-sport) stance during my build and was steering clear of coilovers as they get such mixed reviews.

I assume I would want to go mid-market as I am building for myself and want something fit for purpose with a decent bit of longevity.

The TA-Technix sell well but I am concerned (unnecessarily?) about their quality. I am not spending lots on H&R or Bilstein.
Anyone have any experience of the german made APs ? They are at a price point I can sort of justify. But they that much better than the cheapies ?

All views welcome!

Dave

I have kept mine with standard shocks and am quite happy with the stance.
BMW probably spent squillions of pounds getting the suspension correct, can't see an aftermarket kit improving on it. However some cars due to the wheel and tyre choice will have to have coilovers fitted.
