Gents,
Thanks for the positive comments!
I guess you're never entirely happy yourself with the end result, and your eye will be drawn to the errors, mistakes and concealed botches that you know are there! Moving forward these errors and botches will now be known as the cars 'character' and 'identity'.
So, on to relining the bulkhead with Aluminium to further conceal the Spitfire roots, which will allow the steering to go in, master cylinders, pedals and complete the Copper pipework.
Then the dreaded electrics - how much will I regret retaining the original loom..........
Cheers
Steve.

Talking Panelling and 'Dread'

Hi Steve

Great panelling, mine's nothing like that tidy, I call it 'pre-patinated'. One interested party even asked if I'd been an engineer! Nope, Civil Servant.

p.s. You have a PM.

Regards, Mick

Good morning all,
So, a little more progress to report on the 352.
Bulkhead has been reworked with battery in, harness and cabling coupled up, master cylinders and clutch / brake lines run and coupled and heater hoses plumbed.
Next jobs are to fully wire in the dash switches / gauges and test all that side of things, steering column back in and then first start of the rebuilt motor. That'll be quite a milestone!

Fingers crossed that the engine start goes well.

Good luck, Paul.
