Le Mans general enclosure ticket. €53

Just add food and booze and we're done right?

What time are others aim to get to Calais?

We could meet up either side of the channel if you fancy a Z300S in your convoy.
If you are happy to use the motorway all the way its about 5 hours. Not too bad if you have a good lunch break. I think the motorway tolls were less than 30 Euro. Allow for fuel cost which is about the same for petrol , much cheaper for diesel.
I hope to do a mid morning crossing 10am ish as I've got a 4 hour drive this side ! Should arrive early evening at the campsite that way. Time for a meal out in La Fleche and a few beers !

If you come back on the Sunday you will have to leave early whilst all the Sunday action is taking place . It can be done but the whole thing will be a rush.

I could do that and drive straight to the office ready for Monday morning and the new working week!

LeMans is an endurance test for the racing drivers and their machines , not the spectators !! I'll be taking the Monday off and driving home at my leisure !

I want to soak up every moment so I'm going for 4 nights, from the Thursday to Monday. However it does not matter how long anyone is there for, we all have different agendas. As long as we all get together once there, at least for one day?

I'll be booking up my tunnel crossing and camping pitch in the morning.

Tunnel at 10.36am Thursday 7th July

Returning 14.50pm Monday 11th

£59 each way.

Camping at LaFleche 4 days 7th to 10th July

Go to camping-lafleche.com to book , click top left of page for bookings and next page top left again "Pitches". Or you can phone them up.

Mention the "English LeMans Group" so they can put us on the same area of the site.

I've decided to go 'glamping'. Im going with Kevin (building a Koupe for him) and several of his friends (one with an F40, Porsche speedster, etc)
for £395 all in. Tunnel, entry, proper bed, organised, bar, etc. Not so rowdy, security, experienced tour people. I know its playing it safe but I'm not 20 any more and means I don't have to carry tent, bedding, etc. Ive never slept in a posh wigwam before!

Good advice ! So many people do this trip now , if you want to travel when you want and stay where you want do it soon. Don't leave it until March / April , it will be all booked up !

I went to the normal Le Mans with a bunch of mates a few years back so not a total newbie. I am sure I will cope :-)

I've booked the tunnel for the crossing I wanted , as above.

They still have plenty of availability at the moment.

LaFleche campsite booked too , they have plenty of pitches available at the moment.

I would advise to book soon if you are planning to go. It will start filling up over the coming weeks even though its six months away !
