Default Hammys 60's Racer

Hi gents, Ive picked up my donor and very nice it is too! Ive started a blog if you Google 'Hammys 60's Racer' you'll find it. I'll update a as I go along but I find the blog much easier for a long thread. If you are interested in my last creation you can Google 'Hammys Zero'

So far got new suspension and a K&N induction kit to fit, also doing the 14 degree timing mod this weekend. Kit to be ordered in a fortnight!

Smile Tuning

So this weekend new suspension fitted (45mm lower) MX5 Parts decat and dual exit stainless exhaust fitted. I was nervous about messing the bumper up cutting a 2nd exit but it was very easy. Also done the 14 degree advance, new cambelt and K&N induction kit. Its a completely different car now and sounds brilliant! Will update blog soon. CAll to Tribute later to place my order

Sounds like you are nearly ready to pull the panels off your car!

Thank you for your order, see you in April.

Loads a shopping done today on chrome interior bits' bullet mirrors but the bargain I wanted to let you all know about is the Aston style fuel cap from Europa spares, just over 50 quid, I'll let you know what its like when it arrives. Also noted that chrome interior trim from mx5 parts is dramatically cheaper in their ebay shop than their own website

Just to say a big thanks to Hammy's rollcage for finally killing off my long suffering pillar drill, it's replacement is brilliant, twice as big, twice a powerful and twice as quick. I love new powertools!!

Glad you like your tool Chris!!
Not much to report for me. new front calipers and looking forward to the finished cage which is going off for chroming. Why you may ask? When i looked at the demonstrator i thought the cage would be a good detail feature when climbing in and needed highlighting as such....

Default regrets???

I have sourced 99.5℅ of the parts to complete the build, so am I regretting not asking for delivery of the kit earlier?? Well a little bit but experience tells me to stick to the plan! Itching to get going but I have two weeks booked off work from delivery of the kit and will strip the 5 the weekend before. I'll have to find some more jobs on the donor to feed my hunger.....
