Changing Wheel Hubs
HELP EVERYONE!
I have bought a set of Magnesium OZ Racing Wheels off ebay!
They are 15" x 7J with a 5x114 PCD.
Any ideas on replacement hubs to suit the splines of the VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda driveshafts?

get some pcd converters so you you can leave everything else the same. If you change the hubs completely you will need to make sure the king pin angle, steering arm and distance between wishbone mountings are exactly the same as what you have already

Are your hubs not 4 stud?

What about welding and redrilling new rover hubs?
Craig, hubs are 4 stud, but the wheels are 5 stud.
I also need to mate the 1.8t driveshafts to the rover hubs

A few of us on here who did the honda model rather than messing with hubs just had shafts made with rover one end and honda the other!
With 5 stud wheels though thats of no help to you!
I'm not sure how much it would weaken the hub if you removed the old studs and put 5 new ones in on the correct pcd? You will probably end up with at least one of the new stud holes very near an old one?

Clean up and sell the OZ wheels, make a profit, use the profit to fund wheels to suit rover hubs, and get hybrid axle bars made to suit VW / Rover combo?
Why make life more difficult than it needs to be?

I agree entirely!
However, the wheels almost seem too good to sell!
However, there are sets of Mags on ebay in much lesser condition selling for at least £400.
Seeing as i have five wheels and the condition is so good, maybe i should put them on af £500 and buy another set later. (When i actually need them!!!)
I wasnt particularly looking for wheels, but i never can resist a bargain. (Or the chance to make some money!)
Where would you guys suggest going for the axlebars/driveshafts? - Bearing in mind i need to go from audi gearbox to rover hubs???
Thanks for your advice!

Drivelink - top service, and a quality product (at a price...).
In my case they made up sample bars for free (OEM grade, friction welded together), until I got the correct length, and then I got proper "competition" spec bars made.

That's a lot of money for just the wheels.
I got mine for I think about £450, set of 4 though with tyres (toyos R1's). Not over £500 though.
