Default MOT dummy test

Hi guys.

Took the car up for a dummy MOT today. I asked the guys to be strict.

For the MOT they would have failed on a few items.

Only 3 wheel nuts on each wheel. The other was a locking nut but did not have a key for.

1 rear brake line not secured enough near wheel.

Rear springs. When rear of car was raised, the springs were wiggling about and not secure.

Throttle sticking. This was caused by me cable tieing at an odd angle a last minute job!

One tyre below limit.

SVA advisories (Though they held there hands up that they were not SVA trained)

Steering UJ bolt a bit too long and in danger of touching fuel line.

Driveshaft nut. One was on the threads more than the other side. Advise. Put wheel centre caps on.

Roll cage nuts loose.

Wheels May fail pertroding past body work. He said he would have passed it but it is very close.

And what a drive! And the looks you get! I ended up doing 13 miles!

Time to book SVA.

Good idea to get something like that done before SVA. Having spent so long on the build you tend to 'go blind' at some of the detail so it's good to get a fresh pair of eyes on the car.
