Donor Rover 25 question

Looking at a Rover 25 on a 'y' plate and it has a digi mileometer.Can these be zero'ed and utilised on a build? anything else I should know that is different? My mate wonders about speed related wipers etc,although I believe we use the rear for the front.Cheers Justin
