Default Brake lines

I have the ABS master cylinder, so the exits for the brake lines are on the oputer side (ie the opposite side to those in the MArlin manual. So guess what - the supplied brake lines (at least the two that run from the master cylinder) are not long enough. Anyone know who Marlins suppliers are or anyone solved this problem?

Bit frustrated cos otherwise my chassis is completed to rolling stage and I can get on with fitting the engine!

hi tim
If I understand you correctly your brake line connections to your master cylinder face towards the outerside of the car not inwards. before you go rushing out to get new brake lines I would check that you can connect the brake lines to the master cylinder once the fuel tank filler neck is fitted. I had to get another master cylinder (connections facing inwards) as the forward brake hose would foul the filler neck. I had the larger tank so I am sure if that was the reason.

all the best

Default Lines

Hi Boys.

Had the same trouble myself.

Went to Abbey Hose in Thurrock Essex who made me two brass tubed bent extensions. Fit was super and does the job a treat. Oh cost me a drink to the chap behind the counter.

There seems to be a number of options, we all go different ways to solving it.

Regards to all builders
