Unfortunately, there are certain kits you should steer clear of and this is probably one of them.

Yes, the copyright is in Germany, but not the UK, 100% not the US where there are a few replica's of this car.

Tribute have the moulds to make these, I have seen one they sold to a body shop owner in Shaftesbury, I think he is using a SLK 230 as a doner.

IVA will be needed.

Really?! This is great news!

R170 SLK or R171 SLK ? I really can't wait for this kit!

This ad (now expired but you can do some reading still)

was based on a LHD SL and was up for £95,000, shame you can't see the pics, it was a good replica of the 300SL

You'll never get a "kit" - this is ultra DIY and huge amounts of work, hacking and cutting and fabricating hence the prices being commanded for these reps when completed usually in the 130 to 150k range.

Agreed, would be a huge amount of work.

I know its difficult to tell just from the pictures and what flex is in the main tub just sitting on the floor, but not one panel looks like it will fit without major modifications. One for the brave.
