When completing form SVA1 you have to state the axle weights and top speed of your car. Ensure that your tyre selection meets or exceeds these criteria.
 
  • Ensure the speed rating of the tyres you choose are sufficient for the top speed you are quoting on the SVA1 form.
  • Ensure the load capacity of the tyre exceeds the axle design weights you have specified on the SVA1 form.
The nominal size of the tyre must be of the correct type for the wheel it is fitted to.
 
Don’t have a mix of radial, cross ply or bias belted tyres.
