IVA Deadline looming, be prepared
Posted by Madabout News on Sunday, February 21st, 2010 at 11:06 AM

Thanks to Greatoldone, Marlin and VOSA for the IVA dispensation reminder relating to Fuel tanks and glass.

See the thread and words from VOSA relating to the dispensation which ends on 29th April 2010.

Basically this relates to VOSA giving kit car manufacturers time to sell off old stock of glass and tanks that complied with SVA but not the new rules of IVA. This dispensation ends on the 29th April 2010, so if you have non IVA compliant glass, plastic safety glass or fuel tanks in your kit then you have until the deadline to get your car tested or face having to replace the items.

The new Subaru based version of the much acclaimed SDR V-Storm has been in development since last year. Following excellent independent reviews of the earlier Aprilia based model, many people have keenly followed the new build, and have been awaiting its arrival with anticipation. With more than 300bhp of Subaru Imprezza Turbo charged power, and minimal weight after initial testing the company say the new demonstrator car is devastatingly quick ! Power to weight ratio exceeds 500bhp per tonne producing true supercar performance at a fraction of supercar costs. 0-60 mph low 3 seconds and staggering mid- range acceleration.

New GT in the Marlin pipeline and 5EXi adds VAG power
Posted by Madabout News on Wednesday, October 7th, 2009 at 12:46 PM

Having decided to become a lifestyle business focusing on racing and low volume sports car production to order, Marlin’s decision to change business tack certainly proved to be fortuitous timing in lieu of the credit crunch and following recession – which sadly we now all know about only to well.

This change has indeed left Marlin in a very strong position to continue not only to produce complete cars and kits, but also has enabled them to develop a whole new sporting model which is expected to be released onto the market early next year.
