The Ford Type E gearbox, probably the most common gearbox fitted to kit cars during the 80's and 90's due to it being present on many Ford models used as donor cars. Mostly come with separate bell housings. As is common with most Ford gearboxes it has a 1 inch diameter 23 spline input shaft. The main gear housing is cast iron with an alloy tail casing.
