Having sorted the problem wiith my rear spring plates being out of alignment I will shortly be ordering some "proper" springs - correct spring rate and height. Is any one else interested? I have done the maths on a spreadsheet if anyone wants to check it LOL. Looks like they will be about £80/pair + vat and delivery.
Or perhaps everyone wants to wait to see if I have got the maths rights (At least my maths is better than my spolling...)

have you asked Marlin to modify your originals? I think they did Jason's (aka GOO) recently. Even if they charge you, it should be a lot less than £80.(And given the hassle with the alignment you have had, that should be the least they could do for you)
I'm going to stick with my Apex shortened springs for now, and reconsider again if they are too hard, once I get the car on the road.
By the way, did anyone get a locking nut to go above the upper adjustable spring mount? I just got the mount (ie nut welded to a flat disc) but no lock nut?

Unfortunately I haven't got any originals as, when I stripped the doner, they were broken - top coil snapped off. Apparently a common problem with the 325.
Mind you, it could still be cheaper buying a new set and getting Marlin to modify them - I will have to think about that.
Yes, Marlin modified mine for me. It cost £15 for the pair.
I didn't get a lock nut with my adjustable seats. Miy seats are just screwed onto the threaded stub, and wound all the way up to the top at the moment.
Thanks for all the feedback. As none of us have the nuts then maybe they are not required or .........
just maybe they cost extra!!
I asked Marlin about the nuts when I first collected my kit. They suggested that I use locktite on the threads - but then what is the point in having them adjustable?
I have obtained some full M20 nuts which I intend to grind down to about half the height and use as lock nuts - you can get them from Namrick.
Robin, have you go the contact details for the people that made these? Someone on another forum needs set of heavy duty springs made for their SPL car!

What did you get? Rates / Length.
Yes I bought them. I can't remember/find the details at the moment but I guess if you ring them up they should be able to look up my order and do a repeat.
My calculations seemed to be fine as the car sits at the correct ride hieght and the ride is reasonably comfortable. The only thing I would say is that they may be a little soft if you intend to do track days or stuff like that.
