all bought new from Marlin about a year ago they have been tried on my car apart from pads which have not even been opened but obviously never used as my car is incomplete!
would you mind me asking why you are moving the parts on, are they spares you bought or have you found other brakes to run on the car, also wondering about the front and rear carriers, are they the standard ones from marlin?
Carriers are the standard mg ones supplied from marlin to accomodate 262mm front and 240mm discs rear
I am currently unsure about brakes but am talking to a company at the moment who if I send them my hubs they will weld new brackets to accomodate racing four pot brakes and 300mm discs maybe slightly bigger!
All this depends on cost though as the only reason I am considering it is for the looks!
Very Interesting Craig I have mailed you as I may have something that could help you out. 300mm thats 13", are you running 16" wheels? Will be very tight with calipar clearance if you are.
Ive seen it in there before looks nice, must be close to finishing soon, if your running 16" then they will look good and will work well too as they will still have a nice sized air gap too cool. I like the Oz wheels but we are not sure which ones to pick yet, little way down on the list.
Oz are good on that side of it but starting to look around now etc, I now the feeling, looks close but still miles away.
Still you will have fun with those wires, thats not a fun job at all, I can remember the months of wiring on my dad V8 Sportster, lots of headaches there.
I cheat and pay Marlin to do it, but we are on a time scale so a little bit different.
