Does anyone have any diagrams, info or can point me in the right direction as to where to find the pin out information of the e plug and main harness plug for the honda as I only have what I presume is usdm and some are different
pin 9 for example on the main harness plug is black/yellow cmp sensor but I don't have a pin 9
I got the pinouts for the E-plug from the Acura RSX manual I posted a while back - every colour matched on my wiring loom.
On a side note, I'm now questioning whether I should have removed the "thermal valve" that was originally fitted near the main water outlet on the head.
I'm not sure what the benefit of it is, but I'm suspecting I shouldn't have removed it.... as at certain engine temperatures, it allows air to flow from the airbox straight to the injectors apparently.
Cheers John, I will trawl through it again and see if I can find it
Since sending you the pictures I have looked at a few more honda conversions and it's pretty much standard practice with everyone telling me that it's not needed and (dont worry about it)
None of the conversions have had any bother with overheating issues
I have a couple of other pictures of different cars and they are plumbed the same
I've done some more trawling through my acura manual, and it seems it only lets air through below normal operating temperature. So it seems it's just a passive way of raising the idle revs when the engine is cold.
Odd.
I'm still waiting on my ecu (I'm a bit annoyed to be honest...), but once it's back, if my engine starts, runs well and proves my wiring, feel free to give me a bell if you need some pointers with the wiring.
Thanks John, I probably will.....I think that If I worked on the wiring (knowing the correct pin outs ) I could prob crank engine very soon as all my plumbing is finished, only engine mount left now which I have
ps When I phoned about my k-pro cpl told me that they were the only dealer that could program the hondata and that all the other outlets had to send them to cpl not sure if this is true ir not
The K Pro can be programed by any one with a computer
The main issue is knowing the limits of the engine
I intend to get the car mapped once for balls out performance
then have a play with it my self
