I am getting to the stage now where it seems to be little niggly jobs that are taking ages and have a few questions.

1. What is the best way to shape fiberglass as I am going to mess with the front lights within the next couple of days?

2. Does anyone know what relay is used for the wiper as my intermittant does not work? And how would this be wired?

3. Do I need to fuse absolutely everything in the car eg horn, lights, washer pump etc

Worked for me!

For question 3, I fused quite a few things with an extra fuse box. I thought as I was using an extra fuse box and relay box (for horn, cigar lighter, rear fogs and front fogs (future project!)). Don't think they are needed, I did as a precaution.

A mk3 Golf relay might be worth a punt, as it has a variable wipe frequency.

Thinking of buying a power file for the front lights

I ended up stripping the triangular section that holds the wiper arm. Stripped a metro rear motor. Used the spindle and spray nozzle. Fitted to triangular section by getting someone to weld it on. So spray nozzle is on centre section where nut to bolt wiper arm would usually be.

For the f/glass I bought an 'abrasive' blade from B&Q...this in a regular jigsaw did the cut outs for lights.....bu be sure to use masking tape on the f/glass...I got quite close to lines with no Gel Coat burst.

To finish shape just a set of regular files, carbide paper and wet n dry....& LOADS of elbow grease...
