Choices

I have the choice of booking my SVA and getting the car road ready for Stoneleigh or wait a month or so and get everything done.

One part of me can't wait, the other says 'allow more time to sort it'. After all it is cutting it short for time.

The other advantage of waiting is the expense. I will need to cough up the best part of £1k in the final stages and spreading this cost seems to make more sense.

If you think the delay would help it pass, then I would wait. Otherwise go for it!

The expense wise if you have the cash spare, I would go for it. It's cough up time sooner or later.

I thought I would be damn it there this weekend. Before I got another boot in the proverbial's with problem driveshafts.:(

Hi,

Even if you booked SVA now I doubt you will get an apointment for inspection before Stoneleigh....from sending off my SVA form to inspection was about 4 weeks.....then the reinspection and registration inspection was another 3 weeks afterwards.

....that said, tehre comes a point where you have to do it.....if you keep waiting for the last bit to be perfect you'll never get on the road.

6 months on & I'm still fiddling and setting bits.

I am certainly swaying towards 'wait a month'.

I don't want to get the car on the road, only to spend the next 4 weekends in the garage with it.

Hi

I went down the same route when my car came back from Marlin in March, I am now glad I chose to take my time, the other key issue for me is to enjoy the build, not make it a chore.

Do it at whatever pace you enjoy. If that's another year, or only a month, it doesn't matter.
