After a lot of wiggling, jiggiling, swearing, use of the persuader and finally the trolly jack the gearbox crossmember went in:
I'm very glad that I didn't try and put this in without the gearbox. It was really tough.
Anyhow, I think it looks pretty good:
Certainly gives me more room in the garage!
The only downside of it is I've managed to chip the paint on the rocker cover - so I'll have to whip that off and re-do it.
