Hi All,

As all you builds out there are using the rover hubs, (well to my knowledge), does anyone know the width of the EXi? Basically I’m after the distance between the left & right with the rear disks fitted to the hubs.

I'm trying to work out before our body is made, if we can tweak a few things so that our new GT body could be fitted to any EXi

If anyone could help would be much appreciated as I think I’ve guess correct but would just like to check.

I know it's difficult, but can you be more specific where you want to measure to/from? Idiots terms.

Like place beginning on ???(for example outer edge of disc or hub) to other side (example outer edge of disc or hub).

Hopefully this may help explain it some more,

The measurement is taken from the outer edge of the disk hub face (where the wheel fits on).

This is the same for both sides and when measuring mine I had to use a piece of wood as you can see as our exhaust system was in the way.

Im working on what the measurements were before be all the mods were done but its a bit too risky seems our hubs etc may be different,

Hi, 155.5cm on mine, assuming I have built it correctly !

Cheers for that total throws what i had out the window, any others before i start calculating on the above measurements??

Now you have got me worried, have I built it correctly ? If anyone can take the measurement and put my mind at rest I would be grateful.

Failing that I will have to spend all weekend going through the build manual checking every item is correctly fitted as per the detailed diagrams and written instructions !

1610?? that seems rather wide for a standard exi, I'm still waiting for marlin to come back with a measurement at the moment but will start working on offsets later tonight,

From the info i've been given by a few people i'm now totally confused and cant work out why there is such a big difference in the same car. Regardless of what engine is in the back the road cars should be the same.



If your measurements are correct this is the offsets you need,

6" = E14
6.5" = E20
7" = E26




If your measurements are correct this is the offsets you need,

6" = E40
6.5" = E48
7" = E54

These offsets are worked out ONLY ON CALCULATION, so they may not be 100%.

If either of you have your wheels already then hopfully this is a quick way to see which measurement is closer.

The std Rover 200 wheel I am told is 15X6 with a 45 offset. There is a guy on ebay selling new rover wheels (and engines, I'm tempted) so I bought a set that match this specification, due to be dilvered Tuesday.

I found out yesterday that it's only the Rover wheels that do 6x15 ET45

Could be because you have used the Turbo Rover as your donor. I know that all Bubble shaped donors will have to have the hubs machined. Otherwise the the disc's semi float on the hub. Very dangerous.

Sorry for the delay. First wekend without rain! Hope it's not too late.

Mine are 1580mm. Marlin done the discs and it's a T series turbo.

OK I am happy to accept Idiot of the year award. After re-measuring, but this time with my wife holding one of the ends of the tape, my new measurement is 1545mm. sorry if my earlier incorrect measurement caused any undue head scratching.
