Did anyone come up with an answer to the compensator problem? (Re Andy Danes fail)

I've just have a look at the handbrake system on mine (E36) and can only see manual adjustment.
I thought that maybe there was some sort of actuation/slack adjustment when the handbrake is used, but it seems that the adjustment is done through one of the wheel stud holes and isn't automatic.
Have the SVA guys got a point?
Think that I will make a pivot for the two cables just in case.

Any thoughts?

My handbrake cables are 2 separate no compensator fitted. All passed the SVA no problems. They may have picked up on Andys problem when they did the brake test he could have had a imbalance of the 2 rear brakes. As far as i know this is all thats tested and if they pull up evenly you should get a pass.

I'm planning on SVA'ing without a compensator, every production model BMW uses the same system so I can't see the need for it.

I'll only add something if the SVA guys require it when the time comes.

And i'm going to wait and see how Patrick gets on at his SVA test !
