Good Oil For K Series

10 Aug 2007, 7:31pm
Hi All...

This thread is aimed at the K series posse.....

My car has covered nearly 3K miles in the last year so I thought I'd treat her to some fresh oil.....I'd been running a 10W40 semi synthetic and wanted something a bit more robust.

Was going for some Millers 10W60 (£40+ for 5 litres) and then got chatting to the guys at the motor factors (CES in Crewe).

Anyway.....came away with Comma Motorsport 5W50 Full Synthetic. I was informed this oil has been developed by Comma for the K series Caterham Challenge (Comma sponsor this event) and that this is the oil most of the cars use..sounded genuine too!

...the best bit.....the price.......... oil & filter cost me £25.

Good oil and Bargain in my opinion.

Hi Rich.

That sounds like a good price.

I need some fully synthetic once mine has run in. Opie oils (on the Rover forum) do some good quality oils. The guy knows his oils.

GSF sell Fuchs fully synthetic at a reasonable price. It's what is in my k20 at the moment.
