Had a go at setting up my front suspension today and making sure the headlights are higher than the SVA minium.
I have reset the toe-in as best I can without any special tools and was able to confrim that my axle uprights foul on the springs when on full lock. (BTW I suspect this is why Marlin have moved the lower damper mounting point nearer the centre line of the car on newer kits like Jasons).
I've read of builders putting hose clips insde the rack to limit the travel at each end.
Are there any other solutions or tips on fitting the hose clips?
Have you got pics of the "limiters" in place? Full lock means I'm grating the inside of the alloys on the rod ends where they join the steering rack...
I've not got a picture, but you literally pull off the boot stick a hose clamp round the bit of the rack that moves and then position so it stop it from moving at a certain point. Just do them up really tight!
