Does anyone know where I can get these from? Had a good look at Donington but couldn't find anyone selling them. I am looking for the ones held on by tie wraps, not the heat shrink type. There seemed to be loads of people advertising them when I didn't want them - now I do I can't find anyone. Even the guy that used to advertise on ebay seems to have stopped!
You can use shrink tubing (saw that in the CBS catalogue they've got ones you can buy for track rods). Or there's the rubber things that we got from thesitebox.com. They've change their site since I order but I think these are the right ones:
I don't suppose you can remember the part number that you bought? They don't have any sizes on the web site (not surprising as we are using them for something entirely different to what they were designed for!).
I was pretty annoyed at Donnington because I wanted to buy some more for the suspension legs but couldn't find him. I bought two packets of the large diameter self adhesive heatshrink bits from the CBS stand at £3.00 each (rip off). I then found the Tifosi stand on the way out. He had such a large manufacturers stand, I didn't recognise it!
But guess what I discovered on Monday, large B&Q warehouses have packs of heatshrink in their electrical accessories at £1.75 each and in the back of the pack you'll find two pieces that are about 30mm diameter. I haven't tried but I think they would do and at £1.75 a pack you can afford to put two on for good measure but not so easy for adjustment.
