I have a meta bike alarm fitted (inpact and tilt sensers plus can have contact pin for say bonnet or boot)
It is fully intergrated in with the cars wiring loom
It would take some time to bypass

A trend I've noticed lately when going round the shows is a detachable steering wheel. It can be chained up inside the boot or something if you can't take it with you.
We've fitted an alarm, steering column has the standard locking system so you can't use it without a key. I do however like the idea of a removable wheel!
One of the first things I did after getting the engine started, and the wiring in bits, wired in a Toad AI606. All black wires were supplied and works a treat. Alarm place where I bought it even said once the cars finished and inspected by them, he will give me a Thatcham 1 certificate for insurance if I needed it.
you could use something like a kill switch of the type used on quads and the like attached by a lanyard to the ingnition key.
They are designed to be pulled out and kill the engine if the rider falls off so something like that wired into the fuel pump supply etcas previously suggested.
That way if the ignition key is removed and the killswitch key frogotten it will just pull out and if you use and elasticated lanyard it will twang back and give you a smack on the knuckles to remind you to remove it next time
Best and simplest security I have seen was at one of the kit car shows this year.
The guy had one of the 7esque with some very fancy alloy spoked wheels. He had secured it using one of those security chains and locks used on motorbikes. It passed THROUGH one of the spoked wheels and then through one of the suspension arms making it totally impossible to drive away. Also very visible - which is 90% of the deterrent anyway.
