Yes I see this problem too. It's a side affect of the sites success, the server sometimes struggles, it's mainly because of the galleries, which are heavily used.
We are working on optimising the code in other areas to ease this as the server itself should be able to cope but we have some areas of the site which were written many moons ago so aren't as effecient as they could be.
Please bear with us if you can. Ultimately we may have to go to another beefier server if our initial efforts don't cure it.
