Finally have somewhere to put my gauges!

Trimmed in italian leather and blue alcantara, just needs edges tidying
Also done the door cards today in the same, i'm pleased with results!

Looks good, hope there not too close to the gear lever as the igniton switch doesn't take much to flick off, unless its just for show :P

John, the red key is ignition kill/immobiliser but still leaves the battery live for alarm etc

Jon, no gear lever not too close and no it's all wired in/ not just for show however I dont think the starter switch is sva friendly so will probably leave this off for sva

John, not sure why you cant view as I dont think it's active x content.

Very nice Craig - I love the fact these cars end up so different!

Got to disagree on the alcantara - as you know I did my centre tunnel and side pods with it. I found it brilliant to work with - very stretchy and easy to make it confirm to curves and wrap around edges. Different grade maybe - I know there are at least 2 types (panel and upholstery I think?).

Rich think your right as mine was bought as upholstery alcantara which is foam backed and about 6 mm thick.

Not good for moulding....

John, Do you ever watch american hotrod? I constructed it exactly the same way as they do. Straight forward and very strong!

It is mated to the chassis rails via rivnuts and at the top I have followed the contour of the underside of dash where it is also secured.
