In order to try and stop my connectors getting wet or exposed to moisture I am considering wrapping the connectors and cable entering / exiting with self amalgamating tape.


I have hear this tape is really good at making electrical joints watertight but have never used it before. Has anybody here got any experience with using it. The stuff i was thinking of getting was on the autowirez website... see link below.

BTW, i really don't fancy using PVC tape because in my experience it doesn't stay waterproof for long.

Have a look at Frost.

Not sure this will do what you are thinking but you could try heatshrink or the paint on insulation they sell

This place seem a bit expensive. I ordered some of the tape from autowirez instead. Should be here tomorrow so will see how it goes.
