Got back late last night from collecting the kit and donor.
I was amased how full the jumbo transit and now my garage was especially considering I still need quite a few bits.
Was quite amusing trying to get the engine out of the van, they made it look so easy loading with a forklift.
BTW went and saw the demonstrator and happened to see what will be the new building post move. V impressed when they get it up and running it will be good.
Right back out to my garage and sorting out donor parts. I cant beleive how long I was just puzzled what one bit was until I turned it over and worked out it was the battery tray. Doh !!!!
Not done a dry fit of the suspension yet but I have photos of all the parts (except for springs) will pop them on my website later and re-post the links here.
I've notice in you bag of bits something that I do not have. The rear lower ball joint bag. It's the one with a big screw thread on the balljoint, a 19mm nut and a gold coloured round space in it. Is there anything else in is bag? Thought I could see somethng else.
Might need to resize/remove you pictures David. I have downloaded your pictures thanks.
Also logging into your web site. But it would not allow me to add a comment re you hub nut. Just came up with a blank page saying done at the bottom.
Ah see what you mean about the pic's i'll change them to links now you have seen them.
Interesting it varies between the two I have, mind there is a hole in one of the bags which might explain it. in the both bags is the ball joint large round washer, 19m bolt, a t shaped washer and in one of the bags only a rectuangular washer.
The reason it just says done is I have added comment moderation as I had a bad experience with spam, which means they dont appear until I have logged on and approved them which I do daily.
The back end no longer bolts on its all welded, and to me looks stronger. Also all the engine mounts are different now. The new system is theres a standard set of mounts welded to the chassis and the engine mount kits differ this give a much better option if you want to change engines at any point just buy a new mount kit the chassis is fine. Mine uses the first of the new k-series mounts, they were taking photos of them on my engine when I collected it as it was the first.
yeah its all now a dark grey with a slight blue tint. Was suprised when I saw it as assumed it would be off white, but I actually prefer the new colour. They appear to have done a good job with the powdercoat too, it looks very hard wearing.
I assume the rollcage will still be black, but that wasnt available when I collected my kit.
