Have you seen the roof?

If you missed the recent newsletter and haven't seen the news article here on Madabout here's another pic of the Marlin roof.

What do you think?

Quite appalling.

What do we want?

No I am not overly impressed with the roof, but it's better than getting wet.

When I ordered my exi Mark was supposed to be working on a hard top, perhaps with gas rams a'la the old beetle based Nova.

Think I will try to take a few molds off the body once I get it!

I prefer a cantilever system that removes the lid and places it over the boot.....

All food for thought but this will do for the time being.

A bit bias there Ferg.

I see where you are coming from though.

It can't be easy to design a soft top with the design of the rear, and without doors the top is always going to be a compromise.

But after all the car is designed to be used without a roof, and in that guise it looks damn good!

I'm only messing about Mark, as well you know!
It's really no better or no worse than most similar efforts. Shelsley have a good idea with the removable section to make it into an Elise style Targa.
