Lotus 23 Replica

Hello Kitcar Community

My father and I are car enthusiasts with our main interest being the Delorean car. We have a workspace for restoring cars as a hobby. The opportunity has arisen to produce Lotus 23 replica cars either complete or for self build. Before we undertake this I would like a bit more knowledge of the kitcar market.
-Is a car like the Lotus 23 desireable?
-If someone was wanting to build a kitcar are they more likely to buy from a website, magazine advertisement or event?
-What is a realistic resale value of a car of this nature?
-Can anyone hazard a guess at the number of kitcars built in the UK each year?

From what I have found out retail value is
Shells £2000-£2700
Kit without Engine £9875-£10,500
Rolling Chassis £17,500-£19,995
Self build with Zetec Engine £17,995
Self build with Duratec Engine £26,700-£28,995
Factory built with Zetec and SVA £22,995
Factory built with Duratec and SVA £31,700-£33,995

Would you say this is expensive or similar compared to other kits?
