SVA Mirrors

13 May 2008, 12:34pm
I bought some really nice mirrors from Tex. They seem to do everything that the SVA requires except I am not sure about the "protective housing" the SVA mentions. Anyone got any idea what this really means?

The mirrors I have are of the traditional sort. They have spring back bases and the mirror is in a stainless (circular) housing. Does this count as "protective"?

B100dy SVA :mmph:

I guess the nut will need a nut cover and the radius around the edge is marginal but this can be solved with some rubber U section...

I've got the ones we used to pass SVA in the garage if you want to borrow them. Drill the holes for the ones you want to fit post SVA and these ones we have being universal should drop right into those holes (did for the bullet mirrors)

Thanks Patrick

Not ready for the SVA yet but that would very handy.

I understand that the "Locost" builders have a set of "SVA bits" that they pass on from one builder to the next! Perhaps we should do the same!

Yeah, could do, I've got a set of front indicators as well.

Great idea Robin.
I think I shall have to fit some "proper " indicators as mine will be side light units with a bright yellow bulb and no E mark, which I guess will be totally unacceptable!!
