Looks like a basic name change mainly, with few alteration here and there. Interesting speedo's need to have km/h and mph on them - mine would have failed that. Also labelling of controls, I don't have any of those just a set of switches that do stuff
Hi Robin,
There is good article about this in this months Kitcar magazine(June 2008).
No major changes except seats that now require padded headrests, so high back seats probably now required to pass.
Yes, recommend kitcar mag this month as this has an update in it re BIVA. Not really any major concerns at this moment in time but until the official document is released we won't know for sure.
Doesn't look a lot different but I did notice a couple of minor changes that could affect Sportsters.
The distance between my rear number plate lights is only 510mm which would now be a fail (fix = just move lights further out) and the front mudguards edges have to meet new angular requirements which I dodn't think would be a problem so long as you mount them as required.
They now test the horn which most people fit and is alread required for the MOT.

Good luck,

I shall have to check mine. According to the new document you must be able to fit a Euro plate which is 520mm wide. I only just fitted my number plate lights as well.....

My number plate had a close encounter with mr. bench sander to get it to fit right - not sure Mr. SVA would consider that a solution though
