I now have my 15" wheels on the car for sva!

I have set the ride height to 160 back and 150 front (measured at bottom of front and rear chassis rails)

front springs are 200lb, shocks set to 4 clicks of maximum but the tyres are seriously catching the arches! I'd say the top of the tyre is level with bottom of the arch when parked up!

any ideas apart from raising as it seems very high as it is

What do you care what the ride height is for the SVA? As long as there is 2inches clearance above his bar under the car when he checks it out you can change it again later.

Wind it up include max damping, get it clear and get passed the test.

It is likley you may have other things to think about once the test is underway.

Take someone with you, let them operate the car as he instructs you stick with the tester and see what he sees and then you will know what you have to do to satify him if there is an issue.

Mine is running at 150 at the front and is too high. So I need to lower mine. Have plenty of room in the wheel arch (too much).

The only thing I can think of is the front clam hinges. Do you have a spacer (about 18mm thick) between the clam hinge and the clam body? Not sure if this will affect it.

I have the doored version and there are spacers also for the side pods. About 5-10 mm.

Also tyre pressures should be 17 PSI or there abouts. Normal wheels will be about 30 PSI.

Craig, I chased out my arch (the return is about 1/2 what is was when supplied), as it rubbed on compression.

My car is being designed for 140 front, 145 rear - there's no way I can go lower on the roads around me, without having to pussy-foot everywhere to avoid grounding.

Ah thats interesting! maybe the answer as I would have had to go to about 200mm at the front for it not to catch whilst normal driving.

John, I had to take the marlin spacers out because at 150mm the front the wheel was up inside the front arch

I can only think the same as Limabit, or at least that your front clam indeed is at differant height that mine. I did have the issue with the wheels rubbing, but overcome it with heavier springs, I use 225LB.

Umm may have to do this on mine too I suspect as my max ride height is about 115mm when I dropped it onto its wheels last time.

I'm confused by the idea of the wheel being well within the arch at 150mm clearance. I have quite a big gap between tyre top, and arch at 150mm ride height.

Confused me as well. As mine is the same as John's with plenty of gap in the arch at the front with 150mm ride height.
