Was that measured at the wheels though as if it was then it's about right for a rover turbo engine if it's standard!
Torque looks low though and it dips at a point that it should really be climbing as the turbo comes in
I will probably take mine on within the next couple of weeks to get a comparison before and after mapping and I want to see just how much the silencer restricts my system now being only 2.25 inch diamater and the rest of the system 3" it creates a bottle neck
Is the lambda working properly in closed loop mode? I'd guess fuel trim would be worked out by the closed loop, so when you put it in a high load scenario a slight trim will be put on the open loop map, increasing the fuelling.
Have you thought about installing a wideband lamdba? They're quite handy for diagnosis, and are getting quite affordable these days. A friend just put one on his car, and it's very handy for adaptive mapping.
You can often test the coolant temp sensor, by unplugging it, as in my experience an unplugged coolant sensor results in the the ecu assuming a temperature (often around 80 deg C).
If your CTS isn't working properly (reading too high?), then the ecu might be throwing in extra fuel as a safety measure to avoid det.
Sorry Craig. They are at the fly figures. BHP and torue down quite a bit.
It's a common problem on the these CTS. And a cheapo try £7 for the sensor. So I'll swap it and give it a go.
Also been told it could be a loose wastegate. If I'm taking the turbo off to get adjusted, I may as well get the spare T28 reconned and fit that on. As well as getting the exhaust redown to a bigger diamter...And it goes on.
I need to get this intercooler sort out as well. It's getting the heat from the turbo (as it's sitting on top of it doing bugger all!)
