I am having some second thoughts about the lights that I have bought.
The side repeaters are Hella and are well made and e marked but they need a HUGE rectangular mounting hole and I don't fancy cutting this in the scuttle top.
I was going to use wing mounted indicators but the ones I have, while being E marked, are pretty ugly and not well made.
So what did you guys who have finished use? Did the SVA guys check them for correct E marks? I noticed that nearly all the side repeaters that are commonly available don't seem to be marked at all.
I used round ones with E marks that have the same sized holes as the non-E marked ones I got. You have to prove a non E marked one is of the same brightness as an E marked one. I didn't know how I'd do that so put the round ones in for the SVA.
These are the side repeaters I bought from SVC but they are not e marked.
So i fitted a pair of these e marked ones which I think are off a Fiat of some kind. I think they are stocked by Eurospares but mine will becomming available for a small donation
I'm not actually sure if he checked them as I was in the car at the top of the ramp whilst they were checked
Look closely and you can see me in the drivers seat and the mirrors. They get you to sit in the car to operate the switches and waggle the steering, etc.
