I finally fitted all four of my nice new wheels and tyres yesterday.

The fronts fit fine under the cycle wings - although now the wheels are fitted its clear that the wing stays are not quite as symmetrical as I thought they were - some adjustment may be in order...

The rears clear the body OK but they are going to need some spacers so that they fill the wings. I reckon 25 to 30mm ought to do it. What spacers have you guys used? I guess I am going to need the sort that bolt to the hub and then the wheel bolts to the spacer.

I have 30mm per side at the back. They are TUV approved H&R ones which I got from http://www.performancealloys.com/alloy_wheel_spacers.asp

They are the "DRM" type so you bolt the spacer to the hub, then the wheel to the spacer

They look the business but are pretty expensive ATM. I guess they may have suffered a bit from the exchange rate plummeting!

I can't remember how much I paid for mine, but it's certainly well worth it as they are very good quality.

So far the best price I have found is over £100. I shall have to see if I can find them at a better price...

I used kit SP43.
I can't remember where I got them but I know they were cheap. These are a temporary measure until I fit my Borbett wheels.

I contacted AC Racing Services who sell spacers via Ebay. I think the ones he sells are made by a company called Delta Mics (seem to be French). I asked him about the weight of the steel version (Delta Mics make both steel and alloy versions) Here is an extract from his answer.

"the steel spacers are heavier than the alloy alternatives but they are stronger & we have not experienced any problems with the bolts pulling through & stripping threads on the steel ones like the alloy ones. "

So it looks like the cheaper ally ones could be problematical. Its either steel ones or go for expensive ally ones (H&R) like Patrick has. You can see in the picture Patrick posted it looks like there is an insert where the wheel bolts screw in.
