My secondary heating is stressing the engine a bit which leads to a hot firewall (even through the heat shielding!)

Other builders have use classic mini heaters.

I used one from a BL Mini, it fits behind the dashboard.





If you get a late one they are made of plastic and don't rust. They also come with a two speed fan. It's the feature that my wife was most impressed with!

Expect to pay £50-£100 on eBay for a good one.

Yes i have a mini heater only single speed but i was out on Sunday in -2 temps and was as warm as toast

P.S Chris im not sure but are you from Minehead my nephew tells me one of his teachers bought a Sportster just wondered if it was you and if you wanted to meet up some time.

Yes thats' me! Would like to meet up when there is a day that tempts me into driving to Taunton, I would like to see another sportster.

That's about 2 hours drive from me, maybe when the weather warms up a bit I start getting a bit chilly after 30mins at the mo
