I know this should be simple but I am having a senior moment... Exactly what do I need to do to limit the steering rack travel? I seem to remember it involves hose clips? So do I need to undo the inner ends of the gaitors and then fit the hose clips to the rack?
Does anyone have any pictures of this potentially hazardous operation?
I can't find a photo at the mo, but yeah pull the rubber covers off and place hose clips on the rack - I used sturdy stainless ones. Clean off the grease where they sit or they can move a bit. Positioning - I just moved the steering over from full to full checking for clearance of brake lines, wheels and tyres. After then tightened them down as hard as I could
