I am an owner of an Autobarn Gecko that I built some 20 years ago. At that time the company producing these kits was from Tamworth. Does anyone know any recent history about the car and if there are any others in circulation at the moment.
Hi Dcooper re your GECKO I do not know of any around, But I am the original designer and builder of the GECKO and the old company name from tamworth was Autobarn fabrications I still have some of the original sketches and some old photos if your interested I can copy them also I you need any info or help ping me off a email or give me a call on 07971068649. cheers for now Nic
I still use my Gecko, built in 1988, for transport during summer months and for competing in local autotests with a reasonable level of success. If I remember correctly some company in Banbury took over production or am I wrong in that?
It would be nice to see some other models to see what others had done with what I consider to be one of the best 'Moke' type designs around.
